YouTube has been a platform where content creators have uploaded videos since 2005, but in recent years it has taken off in popularity. Ian Carter, aliased as iDubbbzTV, is a popular member in the YouTube community, currently amassing nearly seven million subscribers. Though he has been one of the most controversial creators on the website, many regard his uploads as a carefully constructed comedic masterpiece. This is because his videos serve a duel purpose, which is to entertain his audience from start to finish, and to expose hypocrisies and wrongdoings among other YouTubers.

One of the most important reasons as to why iDubbbz is so successful is because he exposes truths about the community that he is a part of. He will create videos, known as "Content Cops" on popular figures when he realizes that they are being manipulative or dishonest in their videos or posts. He makes it clear that though he is flawed himself, he is trying to clean up messes on YouTube and is preventing people from being deceived. He carefully scrutinizes his prey and does absurd amount of research before pouncing, so that his argument is impenetrable by his opponent and so that both his audience and the opposing audience can see his logic very clearly.

iDubbbz has received a considerable amount of criticism because of the incredibly vulgar and crude way he speaks. Additionally, he enjoys dark and offensive humor and regularly displays such humor in his videos. He does this very deliberately, not to be dubbed as a racist or sexist, but to make a very important point. iDubbbz does not attack just one party of people; he will put down every single group out there, including ones he belongs to. This is done in order to make a statement against individuals that are hypocritical enough to put down one group of people, but to criticize other people for putting down a different group of people. He explains that putting such tabooed words and phrases at such a high standard is what gives them such power. He tries to normalize words and phrases that are forbidden so that in the future nobody can be offended by them. He does not want to laugh at you, he wants to sit back and laugh at the world with you.

Though he will continue to be struck by criticism by those who do not understand his true intentions, he is the unsung hero of YouTube and will be as long as he continues to upload.

The Good Place

The Good Place is a somewhat unique show in the sense that it successfully manages to incorporate comedic elements into a show that is fixated on a life after death, which can be a rather touchy, controversial subject to discuss. Of course, Heaven and Hell operate under pseudonyms "The Good Place" and "The Bad Place" in order to take religion mostly out of the picture. The show's ability to induce laughter about a natural phenomenon as frightful as death is in clear support of the relief theory, but the whole premise of the show introduces a central incongruity. Elf

Elf is one of the greatest movies to watch around Christmas time. Of course not only does it get you in the Christmas spirit, but it is simply hilarious. The whole movie revolves around how the protagonist, Buddy, is a human raised among elves at the North Pole. This means that he is too large to fit in with the elves physically, and among humans, he has not adapted to social norms and has yet to understand how normal people work. This unique situation creates a man with the mind of a small child, producing a plethora of absolutely hilarious incongruities, such as his lack of understanding of the workplace, him failing to recognize basic social cues, and even things as ridiculous as eating chewed gum off of the underside of a rail.
